Many of us are unaware of the fact that the back-lit Apple logo on lid uses light directly from the other side of the lid i.e, screen .
If you reduce or increase the brightness of the screen then the back-lit Apple logo grows dim or gets brighter accordingly.

Apple has replaced the back-lit logo on new MacBook Pro models with glossy Apple logo .
